An imperial combination of rose gold and royal blue, Patek Philippe’s signature complication.
The Annual Calendar Chronograph is Patek Philippe’s thoroughbred offering, a testament to the brand’s impressive talent for combining complications with creativity. The annual calendar complication invented and patented by Patek Philippe made its debut in 1996, and ten years later it was combined with a flyback chronograph (ref. 5960). Tougher than a perpetual calendar and chronograph combo, the Annual Calendar Chronograph is one-third the price, offering the best of both worlds in signature Patek Philippe style. Earlier this year, Patek Philippe launched its new 5905R watch, featuring a rose gold case and a gorgeous royal blue dial.

The calendar and chronograph combination is Patek Philippe’s signature work, represented by the legendary model 1518 in 1941, which combined a perpetual calendar and a chronograph for the first time in the history of watchmaking. In 1996, the brand’s history ushered in a new milestone with the advent of the world’s first annual calendar. Positioned between the simpler full calendar and the more fragile and complex perpetual calendar, Patek Philippe’s innovative annual calendar – launched with reference number 5035 – indicates the dates of months of 30 and 31 days, and only needs to be at the end of the unstable month every year A correction is made in February.
Beginning with the moon phase display in 1998, the annual calendar functions like many of Patek Philippe’s watches, in true Patek Philippe style, with an added complication. The big news, however, was the announcement in 2006 of the annual calendar and flyback chronograph (ref. 5960). 5960 marked a world first, cementing the brand’s position as a modern and innovative watchmaker.
For 2015, the design of the Annual Calendar Chronograph has been refreshed, with an increase in case size from 40.5mm to 42mm and a chiseled scalloped dial, the new reference 5905 is presented in a precious metal case, including stunning rose gold and brown dial versions, the Annual Calendar and The flyback chronograph gets a sportier iteration for 2021 in stainless steel and an olive green dial. quality fake watches
majestic blue
The latest version of the chronograph annual calendar, 5905R, has the same specifications as the above model and replaces the rose gold 2019 model with a brown dial (5905R-001). With a diameter of 42 mm and an apparent height of 14.03 mm, the curvaceous case and its smooth rectangular pushers are beautifully polished to bring brilliance to the skeletonized scalloped lugs and concave bezel. Very Patek Philippe indeed.
The combination of warm rose gold and royal blue works really well and is eye-catching to say the least. Clear graduations on the dial give the watch a compact, symmetrical appeal and aid in legibility. Faceted rose gold baton markers are applied to the sunray brushed blue dial and are elegantly truncated at noon to form two gold pyramids. The annual calendar function is arranged in three windows – day, date and month – for easy reading, and a sub-dial at 6 o’clock houses the chronograph’s 60-minute counter. You’ll notice a small circular aperture just above the 30-minute marker on the subdial to indicate day or night, a useful feature when setting the date.
Daylight legibility is excellent thanks to the clear white background of the calendar window and bold white markers on the dial. Even the numbers on the chronograph dial can be clearly distinguished without a magnifying glass. However, in low light conditions, the circular marker marking the hours on the peripheral minute/second track and the rose gold hands are luminescent. However, there are minor differences from the previous model. The central chronograph seconds hand is now painted white to match the hands in the 60-minute counter. perfect cheap watches
The dial color comes with a shiny dark blue alligator strap and rose gold prong buckle.
Movement CH 28-520 QA 24H
The advanced movement powering the annual calendar chronograph is automatic and designed for everyday wear. While the architecture of the Integrated Flyback Chronograph relies on a conventional column wheel, it lacks a horizontal clutch. Instead, the movement uses a frictionless vertical disc clutch that allows the chronograph seconds hand to double as a regular running seconds hand. The movement is wound by a 21k gold rotor and decorated to the high standards of the Patek Philippe Seal. Beating at 28,800vh, the power reserve fluctuates between 45 and 55 hours.
