The Jacob & Co. Astronomia Casino watch was unveiled at the Basel World Fair in 2019. It is equipped with a fully operable miniature roulette wheel under the watch’s sapphire crystal dome case. The wheels of Astronomia Casino are made of a spectacular series of green, red and black enamels, and are inlaid with mahogany wood. They are activated by a button at 8 o’clock (also winds the movement).

There has never been a large complication watch equipped with a rotating roulette, allowing the owner to play their favorite game of chance at any time.
At the core of Astronomia Casino is Jacob & Co.‘s renowned watchmaking excellence. The dual-axis tourbillon counteracts the influence of the earth’s gravity on the moving parts of the movement, because the tourbillon frame rotates in 60 seconds and completes a circle in 2.5 minutes, while the entire tourbillon rotates around the central axis of the watch in 10 minutes lock up.
The 1-carat, 288-faceted Jacob Cut® diamond and magnesia-painted blue globes all spin in 30 seconds and move around the dial in 10 minutes along with the tourbillon and time display. Jacob & Co.’s patented differential gear system allows the time display to remain at 12/6 o’clock regardless of where it is rotating.
