Porsche Design’s 1919 Chronotimer series adds a new model, which is characterized by the subtle blue color of the dial and strap.
The 42mm x 14.90mm case of the 1919 Chronotimer Flyback Blue & Leather is made of titanium, which is 46% lighter than stainless steel, but is significantly stronger, and is non-magnetic, anti-allergenic, and resistant to salt water and heat.
The thin bezel leaves room for time and chronograph indications, the dial has excellent visibility from any angle, the minute index is located on the outer edge, and the 30-minute and 12-hour chronographs are located at 12 o’clock and 6 o’clock respectively. The dial consists of a function indicator at 9 o’clock and a date window at 4 o’clock.
The clean Arabic numerals and bold markings combined with Super-Luminova luminous, improve readability in low-light situations. The sapphire crystal mirror has seven hard coatings on both sides to prevent all light reflection.
The 1919 Chronotimer Flyback Blue & Leather is powered by a 4 Hz (28,800 vph) Werk 01.200 chronograph movement, providing a flyback mechanism that allows continuous measurement of intervals.
Through the sapphire crystal back cover, the mechanical device and the energy-optimized rotor are clearly visible. The rotor is coated with PVD and is equipped with a counterweight made of tungsten. This material provides the necessary counterweight for effective winding. The power reserve is 48 hours. This movement is certified as an observatory by COSC, the official Swiss observatory testing organization.
The blue strap is made of original Porsche interior calfskin.
